Happy 231st Birthday, USMC & other stuff!

  • Name: G2TT Executive Committee
  • Anything you want to add: WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

NEWS: Today is the U.S. Marine Corps 231st Birthday!

OOH-RAH! Semper Fi, Marines ...

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We have so much going on and are running in so many different directions.  We're begging all of you who want to help & don't know how.  We have many ways you can get involved and help our troops! Ask your closest Branch Directors what YOU can do to help our troops and our Mission.

We need donations for our holiday care packages!

Christmas and Hanukkah are around the corner, folks! Please ask your friends and co-workers to help us make the holidays more bearable for our troops who are so far away from home!

Our Needs:

  • HOLIDAY candy (candy canes, peanut brittle, ribbon candy) & holiday items! Unbreakable ornaments & holiday decorations, small articial pine trees, etc.
  • CANINE items for our K-9 units.  Squeaky, latex (not vinyl) dog toys & meat flavored dog treats are high in demand.
  • VOLUNTEERS (screen letters & postcards), fill out customs forms, pack boxes, sort donations, etc.

As soon as our donations come in, they are packed up and shipped out.  We have many empty donation bins and thousands of troops who could use a boost of morale!     Please help!!!

Please see our National Holiday Campaign for a complete list & more details!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Great news guys!

Our G2TT Washington State Branch has just been the recipient of a tremendous donation from Oh Boy Oberto Sausage Co. We received 540 full sized packages of Jerky (1 full pallet).

At Costco they retail for over $10.00 each. We are very excited, it is an incredibly busy time for all of us out here, as our Christmas packages go out. They should have about 1,500 volunteer sewn and filled Stockings along with other items for the Troops. I am amazed how donating has increased lately, and just in time to fill the extra 500 Stockings we did not plan for and now have available. We are sending one Stocking to each Troop declared in each unit!

And we will be sending 200 Christmas Stockings and a box of items for a unit of 1,000 troops who were assigned to us.

Just some great news for us, and yes Andi, we do have pictures of the Stockings/packing parties!

We have a lot of other possibilities recently, too - hope they happen!

Take care guys,

Pete and Carol
